Frozen Caramel Hot Chocolate

08.01.16 | Ashley | No Comments

Frozen Caramel Hot ChocolateGooey caramel, rich hot chocolate, light whipped cream, and snow. Wait, snow?

Ok, maybe not snow, (I added that for effect), but ice. Definitely ice.

Not exactly a combination that you’d put together normally, but for today’s post, it’s the perfect, delicious blend needed to create a yummy cup full of frozen caramel hot chocolate!

You might not think that winter is the best time to serve a frosty beverage, but there really isn’t ever a bad time. Put on some mittens and live it up a little. YOLO.  And worst case, the snow outside can keep your mug cold. 😉

It also doesn’t hurt to serve this frozen caramel hot chocolate in adorable snowflake mugs either! I picked these mugs (now sold out) up at Crate and Barrel on clearance. (We’re talking under $3, people!) They even have kid sizes available too!

If you’re not a huge caramel lover, you could easily swap out the caramel syrup for a double frozen hot chocolate (chocolate syrup), a raspberry frozen hot chocolate (frozen raspberries and raspberry syrup), or even a frozen coffee hot chocolate (espresso and chocolate shavings). Whichever way you chose to enjoy them, they’ll be delish.

Ready to make your own glass?

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:

  • 1 Serving of Hot Chocolate Mix (Any Brand or Variety)
  • 1 Cup Ice
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 2 Tsp. Caramel Sauce (Plus Additional for Topping)
  • Whipped Cream

Frozen Caramel Hot ChocolateAdd the hot chocolate mix, ice, milk, and 2 tsp. of the caramel sauce to a blender. Blend until smooth.

Pour into a tall glass or mug and top with whipped cream and more caramel.

Frozen Caramel Hot ChocolateServe the frozen caramel hot chocolate immediately and enjoy a yummy and frosty treat!

Frozen Caramel Hot ChocolateThis frozen caramel hot chocolate recipe will serve one person, depending on the size of your mug, so double, triple, or quadruple the batch for a crowd!
