Dr. Pepper Soda Floats

10.09.15 | Ashley | No Comments

Dr. Pepper Soda FloatsDr. Pepper is my jam.

We have a love/hate relationship, becauce I try to stay away from soda as much as I can (who drinks water?!), but I always find myself running back to this staple in my liquid repitoire.

There’s just something about it.

Most people’s soda vice (including my husband’s) is Diet Coke, but I just can’t do it.

It doesn’t help that little flavored soda shops are popping up all over Utah these days. They mix up the perfect blend of unique flavors and flavor combinations with my favorite drink and have me wanting to try them all. Thanks a lot guys!

What I can thank them for is the inspiration to create my own take on a Dr. Pepper soda float to share at my home events and get-togethers!

And today, I’m sharing it with you guys!

A yummy combination of coconut, raspberry, Dr. Pepper, and cream are all blended together to make this tasty treat and are really easy to make too! That’s a win/win in my book!

If you get addicted to these bad boys, don’t blame me!

Here’s what you’ll need to make your own:

  • Ice
  • Dr. Pepper
  • Coconut Syrup
  • Raspberry Syrup
  • Whipped Cream
  • Raspberries or Blackberries for Garnish (Optional)

Add ice to your glass.

Dr. Pepper Soda FloatsUsing a jigger (item used to measure liquids in cocktails) add 1 ounce of coconut syrup to your glass. (It’s the smaller end!)

Dr. Pepper Soda FloatsThen add 1 ounce of raspberry syrup to your glass.

Dr. Pepper Soda FloatsPour in your Dr. Pepper, until just slightly below the top of your glass.

Dr. Pepper Soda FloatsMix up all of that flavored goodness well.

Dr. Pepper Soda FloatsNow the fun part! Top off your glass with whipped cream!

Dr. Pepper Soda FloatsDr. Pepper Soda FloatsAnd there you have a super duper, extra yummy Dr. Pepper soda float! Do you think I like them at all? 😉

You can mix in your whipped cream to get a great creamy consistency to your float, or just leave it on top to eat at the end!

Dr. Pepper Soda FloatsEither way you choose to drink them, these Dr. Pepper soda floats are sooo good and perfect to serve to your favorite party guests.
