DIY Halloween Movie Night Pajamas

22.10.18 | Ashley | No Comments

Using a few simple supplies and less than 30 minutes, you can create these fun DIY halloween movie night pajamas!

DIY Halloween Movie Night PajamasDIY Halloween Movie Night PajamasHalloween is next week and you can bet that I wasn’t about to let it slip past me without hosting a spooky halloween movie night. October is the one month that I try to fit in as many make-you-jump movies as possible! Cue the popcorn, candy, and vampire bite drinks! (More on those later this week). But, a halloween movie night wouldn’t be complete without PJ’s! And not just any pj’s…I wanted to give them a halloween twist! Using a few supplies and less than 30 minutes, I made some fun DIY halloween movie night pajamas for each of my girlfriends to wear for the party, but they also double as fun take home gifts too! Because, squad ghouls!

DIY Halloween Movie Night PajamasHere’s what you’ll need to make your own:

  • Pajamas (similar ones here and here)
  • Iron
  • Iron-On Letters (Love these ones and these ones)
  • Dish Cloth or Similar
  • Scissors

DIY Halloween Movie Night PajamasSome of the letters that I used had to be cut out and others were peel off letters. Make sure to follow the directions on the back of the iron-on letter package that you are using to ensure that they attach to your pajamas correctly.

DIY Halloween Movie Night PajamasArrange the letters onto your pajamas to spell out the words you want to use.

DIY Halloween Movie Night PajamasPlace a clean dish cloth, or something similar, over your letters, being careful not to move them when you place the towel on top.

DIY Halloween Movie Night PajamasUsing your iron on the cotton setting, apply heat over the letters.

(I run the iron over the area quite a few times to really ensure that they stick well!)

DIY Halloween Movie Night PajamasCarefully peel back the dish cloth slowly. If the dish cloth starts to stick to the letters, place it down again and repeat the ironing process.

If it still sticks a bit, carefully separate the cloth from the letters and go over just the letters again.

DIY Halloween Movie Night PajamasFlip the pajamas inside outside out and repeat the ironing process again.

DIY Halloween Movie Night PajamasTurn the pajamas right side out and voila! Cute DIY halloween movie night pajamas!

DIY Halloween Movie Night PajamasFor my Halloween movie night, I paired each of the pajamas with some fun halloween socks and tied them all together with ribbon to make a fun gift for each of the attendees!

DIY Halloween Movie Night PajamasDIY Halloween Movie Night PajamasThese DIY halloween movie night pajamas are so simple to make and fun to personalize for each of your friends or family members, because no matter how old each of us get, matching pj’s are always a good idea! 😉
