I can’t believe that we’re even talking about this right now, but Cinco de Mayo is right around the corner! This year has flown by, but I’m not mad that the colder months are almost behind us. (You hear that Utah…? Stop snowing please!) When it comes to Cinco de Mayo, the food and drinks are the most important, right? But you still need some festive decor to get those party guests in the mood for a fiesta! This printable Cinco de Mayo taco banner is a cinch to make and will put everyone in the feasting spirit!
It snowed in Utah today. Snow. Apparently Spring decided to stay on vacation this year, because she doesn’t seem to be showing up anytime soon. So, until warmer weather decides to come my way, I’ll just have to force a little bit of ambiance inside. This adorable printable cactus cake topper has me dreaming of warmer Arizona days. I was there last month for Spring Training with a friend, and we went on a cactus quest. My love for cacti runs deep and Arizona doesn’t disappoint in the cactus department.
To be honest, it seemed a little silly to write a post about a recipe for DIY simple syrup (which is sooooo easy to make), but after posting a few cocktail recipes in the past, that required the ingredient, I was surprised that I actually received a lot of comments about it. What it was, where to buy it, and how to make your own. So, to make things simpler moving forward, and to prevent you guys from having to search the web for a tutorial, I’m dedicating this post to all things DIY simple syrup!
From what I’ve read around the web, I’m not the only one intimidated by the thought of making my own marshmallows. I don’t know what it is about those pillowey little clouds of sugar, but they are intimidating AF. (Don’t you guys agree?!) I’ve attempted them once before, only to throw the whole batch in the trash, but my stubbornness won out and I gave them another shot. And, boooooy, am I glad that I did! Not only are they actually really easy to make when you get the concept down, but they are sooooo much better than store bought mallows. I’m not even a marshmallow girl, but I’d definitely snack on a few of these mint chocolate marshmallows!
Despite what the weather channel is forecasting for Utah at the moment, I’m going to push it out of my mind and focus on the fact that the calendar says that it’s supposed to be Spring. Maybe if I believe hard enough, Mother Nature will get the hint and push some of those warmer temps and sunny days my way. But, until then, I’m going to grab some fresh tulips and display these gorgeous DIY ombre bud vases on my counter. They scream Spring and are oh, so easy to make!
Looking for an easy way to garnish a cocktail or add a little more punch to some fruit? Today’s post will help you do just that! These boozy rum soaked cherries are simple to make and delicious! With only two ingredients, you’ll up your cocktail game in no time and maybe get a little buzzed while doing it! 😉
I can’t even handle how gorg these little beauties are. I went a little picture crazy on this post, just because I had a really hard time narrowing them down. So you guys will just have to suffer through them along with me, although I don’t think you’ll complain. 😉
I’ve seen similar posts floating around the internet but I wanted to try some floral cubes out for myself, and after making these rose ice cubes, I’m totally jumping on the floral bandwagon. They are just SO PRETTY!
With a little patience and my water trick to help make your finished cubes super clear, you’ll be
smelling sipping on roses in no time.
Although today’s post isn’t about what to gift your friends and family, it is about a fun and easy way to wrap those gifts up! These DIY glitter gift boxes add a fun pop to an otherwise boring gift box and did I mention they are easy? 😉 Who wouldn’t want a glitter topped gift? I know I would!
